CMSI’s utilization review services identify appropriate care options early in the disease process assisting with cost containment without compromising quality of care.

While most hospital admissions follow a steady treatment course CMSI will pre-authorize all admissions to monitor medical necessity of expensive inpatient stays and ensure that in the case of unexpected complications medical care and associated costs are appropriate.

CMSI has access to over 200 specialty physicians that are able to work closely with the participant’s physician to determine the best course of action in instances that require extensive review and coordination.
